James Moriarty

The Doctor’s a bit of a pretentious git, isn’t he? All he does is wander around the universe, lording it over other species because he thinks he’s so self-righteous. He isn’t. He’s just a great big sanctimonious hypocrite. That’s all there is to it. Nothing else to him.

The Master, on the other hand—he’s sneaky. He’s fun. He’s a challenge. He creates magnitudes of chaos and he doesn’t feel sorry for it. And why should he? It’s the Humans’ fault for clinging to his every word. Humans, as a species, are so gullible. So easy to manipulate. They believe every word—every empty promise—because they’re scared. They’re so scared to look past the surface and see things for how they truly are. They want hope. They crave hope. They’ll do and believe in anything for it. t’s the same reason why “we” keep voting fool after fool into government every election.
